Dr. Hollenberg is a long-time Rochester resident. He received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed a Cross-Sectional Imaging Fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Gary Hollenberg, M.D.

MRI and Musculoskeletal ultrasound have been the primary subjects of Dr. Hollenberg’s substantial research activities. He has been published in numerous professional journals including Spine and the American Journal of Radiology.

Dr. Hollenberg specializes in Body and Musculoskeletal MRI and Cross-Sectional Imaging. He is a Professor of Clinical Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, with 21 years of experience in his field.

Dr. Hollenberg is a long-time Rochester resident. He received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed a Cross-Sectional Imaging Fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, a Radiology Residency at Rochester General Hospital, and an Internship at Highland Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology.

MRI and Musculoskeletal ultrasound have been the primary subjects of Dr. Hollenberg’s substantial research activities. He has been published in numerous professional journals, including Spine, American Journal of Radiology, Skeletal Radiology, Current Sports Medicine Reports, and Emergency Radiology. Dr. Hollenberg co-authored Differential Diagnosis in Muskuloskeletal MRI that received the 2016 PROSE award from the Association of American Publishers. Dr. Hollenberg is a Past President of the Rochester Roentgen Ray Society and a member of the New York State Radiological Society, the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Radiological Society of North America, and the Society of Skeletal Radiology.
